Three-fourth of mails on Internet are spam
About 75% of all mails on the Internet are spam. About 2% of spams are malware, says Patrik Runald, senior security specialist, F-Secure Security Labs.Now, spam has become an even bigger challenge due to increased volume of image spam. These emails circumvent traditional filters, which look only for text. Image spams also take up to 70% of the bandwidth because of the large file sizes. Image spams that constituted about 35% to 40% of all spam mails in January and February of this year have reduced to about 20% to 30% in March and April. More ..
