Success On The Internet
By: Taban Khajehnassiri

Again regarding the e-mails and greeting cards we just received within the last days of the year 1378, we have to admit that Webfaqt Weekly News has been read, loved, trusted, collected and forwarded as an information resource on the net especially for the Iranians all over the world. And that's been really encouraging and hopeful. Another reason for our success has been the fact that we have had strong communication with our audience.

In WWN dated Mar 11, I wrote about happiness, but for this edition I would like to write about success on the net. To begin with, let me start by this very newsletter.

Every week, our readers and subscribers load the news and updates of the Iranian web sites and receive the Webfaqt's digest of the international news bytes as well as web links and management tips. With our in-depth reportings, thoughtful analyses and unique perspective on the news and tips, it has been no surprise that the most influential audience in Iran and in the world by subscribing our free state-of-the-art newsletter turns to Webfaqt every week though we are using free web hosting service on the net (Fortunecity.com) for our archives and another free e-mail list service (Listbot) to send out the newsletters.

For more than a year, Webfaqt has been known and recognized as the finest information resource in Iran and on the Internet according to our readers and subscribers as well as our own surveys. Perhaps, it is true when we say that, the reason is very simple. We have published our newsletters frequently every week and every month. In WWN, we are using skills and techniques that other newsletters even those with their so-called big big printed magazines using huge publicity materials and ads, with their big big supports from major companies and advertisers, investers and foundations have lost and/or forgotten. Our newsletter has been made with due attention to details very few people would notice. Based on true feedbacks from our own readers we have found that we are doing a great job on the net, creating some unique and needed newsletter for the Iranian net users. In Webfaqt, we believe that a small attitude can make big changes and this is why we see WWN as a successful step ahead. We have published the newsletter electronically to meet the info needs of our readers and subscribers even those who are very difficult to please, those who will only accept the best and nothing else. The result of this continuous work will be illustrated in a newsletter that will be unlike any other, very close to an absolute perfection that we seek for.

To create something quietly reflecting your own values, we read your e-mails phrase by phrase, sentence by sentence to find out more about your interests on the web and the kind of information you may need or ask for it. We truely try to reflect our findings right here in the newsletter. As the editor in chief of this weekly, I would like to outline the success of our works for those of you who want to be successful on any kind of business on the net:

1. Create and maintain something new every day, week or month and publish or update it on the net frequently. It can be a web site, a newsletter or any thing online.

2. Show and use your talents, skills and techniques.

3. Pay more attention to details, focus on them and make them clear for your own audience.

4. Try to meet the needs of your own audience.

5. Make something valuable, resourceful, educational and informative, maintain the quality and develop the content.

6. Build up strong and continuous communication with your own audience.

7. Prepare reports on your achievements for your audience frequently.

I am sure at the first night of your presence on the web with the above outline in your mind, you would have people coming to your web site, writing to you e-mails of encouragements and if God will you may receive the first orders and next year you will be sitting at a cafe, on a beach in Hawaii, enjoying the sun and music. This time, I missed my plane because I was busy writing this editorial, and sure, I am writing this to you from Tehran :) But next time I am the one in the Hawaiian Shirt in - er ... I think ... Kish Island. :)

Stay with this newsletter for another year and let's see what will happen if we continue to work on the above outline in practice.
